Ellen Campbell

Ellen Autry Campbell, 73, of Clermont, died Friday, July 11, 2008, at Lanier Park Hospital following an extended illness.

Born in Hall County, on August 11, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Letcher Satterfield Autry. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church. Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by brothers, Herman and Perry Autry.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Garnett “G.C.” Campbell Jr. Clermont; daughters and sons-in-law, Shelia and Ron Hart, Alesia and Sam Cole, Tammie and Mike Kelly, all of Cumming, Denise and Tony Newman, Lilburn; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Betty Campbell, Larry and Donna Campbell, all of Cleveland, Ricky and Marie Campbell, Hull; sisters and brothers-in-law, Violet and Tex Jones, Gainesville, Jesse Dean and Ronald Sparks, Cleveland, Betty and Gary Dillard, Lithia Springs; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rudy and Linda Autry, Canton, Ethel Autry, Lula; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 14, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church with the Revs. Kyle Savage and Mike Irvin officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Barrett Funeral Home, Cleveland, was in charge of arrangements.
