Henry Doster

JEFFERSON - Henry Homer Doster, 69, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

Born August 25, 1940, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late, Homer Lee and Norma Reynolds Doster.╩ He served many years as the Jackson County Tax Commissioner and was owner of Doster and Doster Builders. Mr. Doster was a member of Galilee Christian Church, and was a former member of the Pendergrass Volunteer Fire Department, the Jaycees and Lions Club; and served in the Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Sara Doster Seabolt and Foster Seabolt; nephew, Ronnie Seabolt.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Martin Doster, Jefferson; daughter, Tammy Doster Buffington and her fiancÄ Mack Walker of Jefferson; son, Darrell Lee Doster, Jefferson; his ╥other mother╙, Ruth Campfield, Hendersonville, N.C.; sister, Barbara Biddy, Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren: Brittany Buffington Truelove and her husband Taylor, Marty Lee Buffington and his wife Brittany; nieces, Julie Seabolt Sears, Diane Biddy Saia, Katherine Biddy Maguire; nephew, John Biddy; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, at the Galilee Christian Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating.╩ Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
