MAYSVILLE – Jack Lanier Evans died Monday, March 29, 2010.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Evans Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Jean Evans; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Kay and Rodney Kittrell, Mary Ellen and Von Wynn, Lisa and Duane Holland; son, Steve Evans; sisters and brother-in-law, Joyce and Maxie Baxter, Sara O’Quinn; brother, Kirby Evans; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 1, at 1 p.m., at Melwood Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Landress officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, March 31, from 6 to 9 p.m.

A.S. Turner & Sons Funeral Home, Decatur, is in charge of arrangements.
