NICHOLSON – James Byron Fallaw, 59, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Hill Haven Nursing Home (Hospice) from cancer.
Born and raised in Ridge Spring, S.C., he was the son of the late James and Bessie Fallaw. He was a transportation broker for 30 years and enjoyed coaching baseball and was a big fan of NASCAR. He will always be remembered for his intelligence and love that he showed to all that crossed his path, loved ones stated. Mr. Fallaw was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Hartley; a niece, Greta Price; and nephews, Jay Carson and Barrett Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Sharon King Fallaw; sons, Randy (16) and Cody (14); sisters and brothers-in-law, Belinda and Jimmy Carson, Beaufort, S.C., and Judy and Mendal Price, Gilbert, S.C.; brother-in-law, Henry Hartley, Summit, S.C.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial services were held Saturday, March 27 from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Stowers officiating. By Mr. Fallaw’s request, the body was cremated.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
