JEFFERSON – Beatrice Elva Hantus, 70, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
Born in Millville, N.J., she was the daughter of the late George and Irma Bulther DeLacroix. She worked as a substitute teacher with South Jackson Elementary School and was a member of the Christian Assembly. Mrs. Hantus was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Hantus.
Survivors include her husband, Michael N. Hantus Jr., Jefferson; children, Richard Michael and Katrina Lynn Hantus and Ruth Charlotte and Robert McFarrin, all of Jefferson, Dr. Stephen Timothy and Mindi Hantus, Cleveland, Ohio, Luke and Janice Hantus, Calhoun, and Glory and Jerry Elliott, Auburn; sister, Virginia Turner, Huntington Beach, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Friday, March 26, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Michael Hantus, Michael Ulteig and Dave Banks officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, March 26, from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Assembly, 3108 Ethridge Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
