COMER – Elaine J. Hattaway, 48, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Commerce on July 14, 1961, she was the daughter of the late John and Joyce Hambrick David. She was a homemaker and a member of the Comer Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Steven Hattaway, Comer; a son, Ricky Eugene Gunner Jr., Gainesville; daughters, Joy Elaine Phillips, Comer, and Sonya Reene Byrum, Elberton; brothers, Phillip David, Commerce, Wesley David, South Carolina, Ronnie David, Gainesville, and Johnny David, Carnesville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with Mr. Vernon Boswell officiating. Burial will be in the Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Thursday, March 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. The family is at home.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
