JEFFERSON – Martha Lee Sheridan, 86, died Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Born in Jackson County on October 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Eula Mae Whitehead Elrod. She was a nurse and was a member of the Pendergrass Baptist Church. Mrs. Sheridan was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Elrod; and a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and H.M. Benson.
Survivors include children, Reggie and Gwyn Sheridan, Buford, Donald and Kay Sheridan, Commerce; sister, Geraldine Elrod; brother, Bruce Elrod; sister-in-law, Annie Laura Elrod, all of Pendergrass; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 17, at 2 p.m., in the Pendergrass Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Wade officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, March 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.
