JEFFERSON – Willie Louise Allen Sikes, 80, died Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Born on December 12, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Coyle and Lula Isabell Smith Allen. She was the owner of the Casual Beauty Shop in Jefferson for over 40 years and was a member of the Faith Baptist Church. She was a member and former president of the Optimist Club, a member of J.A.B.A., the Jackson County Food Bank, and the Thursday Night Bridge Club. Mrs. Sikes was also a former president of the Jefferson Little League Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Sikes; a son, David Seabolt; and brother, Joseph Henry Allen.
Survivors include children, Lucretia Brumbalow, Commerce, Lane and David Jones, San Marcos, Texas, Lee and Sonya Sikes, Jefferson, Nancy Seabolt, Flowery Branch; sister, Ann Prosser, Jefferson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Faye and Gordon Wilson; grandchildren, Sandy Fountain, Ray Streetman, Shannon Seabolt, Chelsea, Kyle and Kaylee Sikes; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 17, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
