JEFFERSON - Aubrey Thomas Nolan, 13, died on Thursday, March 11, 2010.

The son of Jennifer Nolan and Ray Faircloth Jr., he was a student at Kings Bridge Middle School where he played trombone in the school band. He loved music and had the ability to play many instruments. Aubrey had an inventive mind, dreaming of one day being an engineer at NASA. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Colonel H.L. Nolan and Julia Nolan, and John Bahney.

Survivors in addition to his parents include grandparents, Phillip and Bonnie Nolan, Frank Faircloth, Sr., and Harry and Betty Jones; uncles, Chris and Tammy Nolan, and Aaron and Aimee Nolan; aunt, Rhonda and Larry Mainland; cousins, Brittany, April and Lauren Nolan, Matthew Craig, Robert Brimer and Jarod Mainland; great-grandmother, Evelyn Bahney; and many great-aunts, uncles, and cousins. A very special thanks to the Bahney family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 16, from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Duval officiating. Burial will follow in Evans Memory Gardens, Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 15, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.

Hello,
im so very terrible sorry for your loss.I know Aubrey from school and he is a great person and is really funny and smart. I'm and 8th grader at KBMS and we ride the same bus with Brittany Nolan ( his cousin) and it is going to be a very sad time without him on because he is apart of all our lives and laughs on the bus..again im really sorry for your loss and we are all going to miss him and i no i will to. all my thoughts and prayers are with your family and with him.

my friend salena has a older brother that hung out with abury he was a very sweet boy when i was in 3rd grade he toke me around i will miss him dearly and pray for the family brianna. my brother micheal knew abury when my brother found out that he died he could not stop cryin and will be at funnarel and we feel really sorry for his mother.selena

how we should treat all Gods children.They all are not all the same but have extreamly large

My son goes to king bridge as well and he has come home telling me some negative things that were said to him. Of course i am more concerned now than ever. I didnt know Aubrey but he has been on my mind since i first heard. I am truly sorry for you loss and cant even imagine going thru this. This is the first time i have read all this comments and i am in tears. God bless

My name is Colton Lakhicharran, and I attend KBMS. I am in the 8th grade band, and enjoied playing with Aubrey when our 2 grades were combined. He was very talented and will be missed greatly. I had my sister Mercedes Make a very special flower arrangement with a music note in the middle. Please accept this from me and the 8th grade band in honor of you most talent son. He will be missed.

I didnt know aubrey but i heard he was a good kid. We the kids of america today is not like they should be just because someone ant skinny dont mean you have the right to make fun of them and because of that look where he is now, and thats because people try to fit in by making fun of people but thats not the way my parents raised me. but im sorry for the loss and sad to hear but that goes to show you how the future of america is. i hope i touch people with this because whoever made fun of him should be put in his spot and they might learn that if your not all skinny and your kinda of big doesnt mean you have to be a outkast R.I.P. I have a 6th grader who does not want to ride the bus because they are bigger and the kids on the bus make fun of her and will not allow her to sit with them. Some kids are so cruel and they think they are better than others and treat others so bad. When something like this happens where are they? What are they thinking? Will they sto or just keep on doing it to someone else? Really makes me wonder what kind of person they will be they could not have a heart or any respect. My prayers are with the family but I am also gonna say a prayers for you bullies out there because you are the ones who need to be prayed for the most maybe you were never told "Do unto others as you would like to be done to you" another words treat everyone reguardless of their size, color, finicial status the same way you want to be treated! May God help you all through this hard time. Just an idea for the family and his friends to keep his memory alive go around and speak about bullying and how it destroys a person put together a slide show and show it make theses kids today relize the consquences of bullying. To the busdrivers, teachers and principals pay better attention to you students and their behavior when they are bullying another have their parent shadow them a couple days at school maybe this will put a stop to this!

I am a 7th grader at KBMS last year aubrey was definately one of my best friends and i will miss him very much. I regret not hanging out with him that much this year but that doesnt mean i forgot about our friendship. I will miss you and you will be in our hearts forever.

I fully agree with Anonymous, I have a student at KBMS. The kids are always making fun of each other. The teachers do need to pay more attention to the kids. My daughter is always coming home telling me things that people say. I really hope these bullies stop and Think about what went on to hurt this young man.

There are no words to express the great sadness that the family is going through. Take comfort in the Lord and know that we have prayed for you and your wonderful son. My twins were in school and band with Aubrey and this has shocked them. He was such a joy and made such an impact on them. God Bless you. R.I.P. Aubrey.

The loss of Aubrey Nolan was tragic in many ways. I can't express to you how sad I am for what Aubrey was forced to face each day on the bus, and at school. I am also mad that the schools did not stop this way before it got to this point. This should be a wake up call to Jackson County Schools that that they need to take a another look at their bullying policy, becuase it is NOT working, and NOT enforced. All parents and students alike need to band together and stand up against bullying in our schools! On facebook there is a Stop Bullying in Jackson County group - I encourage you to join and let's start making a differance!

I do not know this family personally. I truly feel for them during this time though. My prayers are with them. I hope that this in some way is a lesson to anyone who says hurtful things to another person! People take those unnecessary comments to heart and it can have a horrible outcome. We are all created differently. You never know where your life will end up. Don't make fun of anyone because you might need their support in your future!

i didnt know Aubrey Nolan, but from what i hear he was a pretty amazing kid. it broke my heart to hear the story of what happened. we do live in a small town and word does get around. i go to jcchs i am a sophomore and i am about to be 16. i cheer and i try my best to make good grades and i have good friends. i wish that aubrey had a good enviorment at school so this tragedy wouldnt of happened. the family is in my prayers and so are the ignorant bullies that made him feel like what he did was the only resort. at my high school bullying is considered cool and it makes the people who do it seem inferior to others. it angers me to a point where even if i dont know the kid theyre making fun of, i stick up for them. i believe god created us as we are and if he can love us and accept us so should the people in this world. i am incredibly sorry for your loss Nolan family and i pray that you find peace and keep your hearts lifted, and i also hope that what happened makes kids learn bullying is not cool. i lost my best friend, Brittane, my freshman year. she died from overdose. and it shown me and all of the people i associate with that drugs arent all that great and they have great consequences. again, i am so sorry. god bless.

The Healan Family wants to express our Deepest sympathy's to the Family & Friends of Aubrey Nolan. We recently moved out of Aubrey's Subdivision back to Barrow Co. and only Yesterday found out the Horrifying news of losing sweet Aubrey. I still didn't & Couldn't believe it to be true . Aubrey will FOREVER be in My Heart and we love him so very Much.. Aubrey is one of the sweetest and Most polite Kids I have ever met in My entire life and No matter how many times I would tell him "Aubrey Please don't call me MAM' it makes me feel old-call me Tara or Mom like the rest of them do"- He would always respond.. "YES MAM"" & giggle.. He just couldn't Help himself he was so polite and respectful of others. He was Always a pleasure to be around. I will Forever treasure the precious times we had with him at our home and know that we were blessed with the Wonderful Friendship and Love that he Showed to my youngest son, Hunter. Hunter could usually be found at Aubrey's house EVERYDAY after school or Him at ours. I always believed they bonded so well because they were going through the same things with people picking on them about their weight and they knew what the other was going through and of course the Two of them both LOVED the same video games. I will always remember that Awesome snickering grin he would give me coming down our road on his lil motorcycle when he would see me laughing at the sight of him coming-because I ride a Motorcycle and he would always cut up with me and say "next time you have one of your Chic Rider Bike Rides Tara I am going" and it was the Cutest thing ever to watch him and Hunter run up and down the roads on their bikes like they were already one of us "BIKERS". He spent the Night with us many times and I will Forever Cherish the night Aubrey was sleeping on our couch and I came down in the middle of the night to check on him & he was sitting up awake. I Sat down on the couch and patted my lap and told him "lay back down sweety and try to go to sleep you boys have school in the morning". Those of you that knew Aubrey knew how shy he was but this night with him not feeling well he let his "Guard" down and layed his lil head in my lap and we ended up talking for hours..One of the things I remember him asking me was how come Hunter doesn't seem to get upset when everybody picks on him on the bus. I told him.. "OH Aubrey it so very much Does bother him but Hunter hides it very well.. He has learned that if he let's them know it gets him upset, it seems to come more often because that is what "they"want. The kids that pick on you boys for the way you look are kids that apparently have Serious issues with themselves or something Horrible going on in their life and For some reason it makes them feel better to put another Kid down to make themselves feel Bigger-but THEY are the Weakest ones and Hunter has learned not to give them that satisfaction of KNOWING it bothers him, he ignores them because "they" DON'T matter!!..You two may be overweight but You boys have SO MUCH more than most kids do. You have families and Friends that love and adore you. You are both brilliant and two of the Funniest kids around and I happen to think you guys are the CUTEST kids I have ever seen.. of course I might be a lil prejudice!!(and he laughed out loud)".... Oh how I wish now I would have brought the subject up again with him later but it was just one of a hundred things that we chatted about that night and I didn't think anything of it except Aubrey wanting to know why Hunter acted the way he did..It breaks my heart to think maybe he was even then trying to figure out for himself how to deal with the Same situation of Bully's. I am so very "SORRY" we didn't hear the news till Now.. Hunter is taking it very hard and the fact that he missed the funeral and didn't get to tell his best Friend a Final Goodbye Hurts. Hello my name is Cheyenne Statzer I went to KBMS last year... I am so sorry for your loss... I knew Aubrey pretty well... I enjoied being in the pep-band with him he always seemed to be so happy and full of life... I miss so much and think of him all the time... I have kept your family in my prayers since the day i found out and I still cry every now and then. Aubrey Will and IS missed every day... I am sorry this is so late i didnt know there was a site about this until today :(
I will miss him forever and will always keep your family in prayers
