ATHENS – Shane Dylan Chapmen, 21, died Saturday, March 5, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.

Born in Clarke County, he was the son of Henrietta Bishop of Athens and Sherman Chapman of Hull.

Survivors in addition to his parents include a grandmother, Mary Bishop, Athens; brothers, Matthew Dowdy, Joshua Bishop, Charles Bishop and Eli Chapman, all of Athens, and Jonathan Bishop, Commerce.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 10, at 7 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Roberts officiating after which the body will be cremated. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, March 10, from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
