‘Lib’ Chastain

COMMERCE – Elizabeth “Lib” Chastain, 87, died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at her residence.

Born in Belton, S.C., she was the daughter of the late T.L. and Allie Ruth Darby Cheatham. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce and was a retired bookkeeper with the Commerce Drug Company. Mrs. Chastain was preceded in death by her husband, Loyde Samuel Chastain.

Survivors include a daughter, L. June Chastain, Suwanee; and sister, Kathryn Gray, Greenwood, S.C.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Carlton Allen officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, March 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
