COMER - Myra Frances Tolbert Tucker, 85, died Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar “Lee” B. and Georgia Mae Moon Paul. Mrs. Tucker was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Tolbert; second husband, Roy Tucker; son, Gary Tolbert; and son-in-law, Ed Scarbrough. She was a homemaker and member of Collier Baptist Church in Comer.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Sue Tolbert, Jefferson; daughter, Myra Scarbrough, Comer; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Tolbert; stepdaughter, Pat and Bobby Bond; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and step-grand and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 19, with the Rev. Gerald Brunson officiating. Burial was at Clouds Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stacy Tolbert, Scott Tolbert, Michael Tolbert, Greg Horne, Nathan Bradley and Craig Probert.
Memorials may be made to the church of one’s choice.
