Audrey Martin

ATHENS – Audrey A. Martin, 77, died Thursday, February 25, 2010.

Born in Talladega, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Waddie and Leila Thomas. She was a retired elementary school teacher with the Gwinnett County Schools, and was a member of Loganville First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Troy Carlis Martin, Athens; son, Carlis Martin, Marietta; daughters, Sharon Martin, Charleston, S.C., and Charlotte Beaty, Flowery Branch; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 28, from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Lamar Barden officiating. Burial was in Evans Memory Gardens in Jefferson. Serving as pallbearers were Bryan Williams, Rick Snell, James Williams, Travis Martin, Wesley Snell and Jake Snell.

Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.
