COMMERCE – Mamie Lou Turner, 94, died Thursday, February 25, 2010, in Cleveland.
Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Flanagan Beck. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband, Quilla Golden Turner; and a son, Howard J. Turner.
Survivors include children, Jerry J. Turner, Carnesville, Lillie Martin, Cleveland; brothers, Rufus Beck, Commerce, Curtis Beck, Jefferson; sisters, Vernell Evans, Commerce, Eddie Pearl Wiley and Sara Covington, both of Homer; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 27, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Apple Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 26, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
