William David

NICHOLSON – William Hayden David, 79, died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late John William and Addie Mae Duncan David. He was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church and was a United States Army Veteran. He was retired from the USDA as a poultry inspector and was a member of the Nicholson Fire Department. Mr. David was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Banks David.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jennifer David, Braselton, Eric and Gail David and Michael and Myra David, all of Nicholson; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 21, at 2 p.m., at the Antioch United Methodist Church with the Revs. Don Clark, Bill Manus and Nancy Boorman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, February 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.
