Juanita “Toppie” Hamilton, 83, of Atlanta, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008.
A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ada F. Sumner Bramlett. She was a member of The First Alliance Church of Atlanta, and was a retired hairdresser. Mrs. Hamilton was preceded in death by her husband, Sanders W. Hamilton.
Survivors include sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Burgess, Auburn, Phyllis Bowens, Betty and Jack Hazan, all of Hoschton; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at The Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta with the Rev. Kevin Goins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, May 15, and Friday, May 16, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Carter Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
