CANON – Carlton Campbell, 72, died Sunday, February 14, 2010.
Born in Madison County on January 21, 1938, he was the son of the late Charlie and Leola Duffey Campbell. He was owner and operator of Campbell’s Furniture in Lavonia and was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Campbell.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Phil and Lisa Campbell, Canon, and Steve and Tammy Campbell, Royston; grandchildren, Charlie Campbell, Harley Campbell, Dakota Campbell and Jeff Campbell; and a brother, Carter Campbell, Madison.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 17, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Revs. Stacy Lynch and Chris Wagoneer officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia United Methodist Church cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends Tuesday, February 16, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Macedonia United Methodist Church.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
