Joseph Threlkeld

RUTLEDGE – Joseph Marion Threlkeld, 81, died Monday, February 8, 2010.

Born in Decatur he was the son of the late George and Blanche Threlkeld. He always had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, loved ones stated. Mr. Threlkeld was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Patricia Ann Threlkeld; and a granddaughter, Marie Weaver.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and Barry Gowens, Social Circle, Linda and Kenny Folsom, Conyers; son and daughter-in-law, John and Lisa Threlkeld, Loganville; grandchildren, Wayne Gowens and Wendy Spivey; and a sister, Dot Goodwin.

The family will receive friends, and a celebration of his life, will be held at his home in Rutledge Saturday, February 20, from 1 to 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to a charity of your choice.

The Threlkeld family would also like to extend a special thank you to the many dear friends that have been such a source of strength and encouragements.
