GAINESVILLE - James Arthur Winters, 65, died Saturday, February 13, 2010.
A lifetime resident of Hall County, he was the son of the late Albert and Maybelle Hulsey Winters. He was a retired truck driver for Country Cupboard and was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Winters was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Winters.
Survivors include his wife, Leda Emmett Winters, Gainesville; sons and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Angie Winters, Salisbury, N.C., and Richard Headrick, Gainesville; daughters, Ginger Chappell and Windy Griggs, both of Gainesville, Vickie Winters, Homer; brother, Stanley Winters, Gainesville; grandchildren, Jessica, Savannah, Patrick, Johnathan, William and Tiffany; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16, at 3 p.m., from the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home with the Revs. Junior Jones and Robert Ledford officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, February 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.
