CARNESVILLE – John Edward “Buddy” Franks, 86, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010, at BJC Nursing Home.
Born in Franklin County he was the son of the late Clifton and Mary Holbrook Franks. He was a member of the Bold Springs United Methodist Church and was a United States Air Force veteran having served during World War II. He was retired from Hurst Ford Place and Roper Pump Company.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil Alexander Franks; son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Helen Franks; and one grandson, Kyle Franks, all of Carnesville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 11, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. George Wright officiating. Burial will be in the Bold Springs United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
