ROYSTON – Winona Sue Seymour Scarboro, 83, died Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston.
Born in Royston on January 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Seymour and Dallas Martin. She was a beautician having retired from the Royston Beauty Shop and was a member of the Royston Baptist Church. Mrs. Scarboro was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Edsel Scarboro.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara Eavenson, Carnesville, and Peggy Paul, Raleigh, N.C.; a son, Stan Scarboro, Kennesaw; sister, Mary Kesler, Hartwell, brothers, Jimmy Seymour, Hartwell, and Charles Seymour, Griffin; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Claudene Nalley.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 6, at 2 p.m., at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Richard Bielski and Malcolm Herndon officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 5, from 6-8 p.m.
