STATHAM – Theoprice “Oppie” McKenzie, 92, died Sunday, January 24, 2010.
Born in Auburn, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Tinie P. Freeman. She was a member of Bethabra Baptist Church and was retired from H & H Manufacturing Company. Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by her husband, Herman S. Wood; and a grandson, Ace Jackson.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and JR Savage, Statham; grandchildren, Richard and Jennifer Savage, David and Sharon Savage, Leigh Ann Lamp and Dana Picciott; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dean England, Buford.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 26, at 2 p.m. from Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Tim McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Bethabra Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 26, from 12 to 2 p.m. before the service.
