EATONTON – Robert W. Herbert, 80, died Saturday, January 23, 2010, at the Eatonton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Jackson County he was the son of the late James E. and Vera Boone Herbert. He was a retired steakhouse restaurant owner and was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Herbert was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Herbert.
Survivors include sons, William Phillip Herbert and Robert Wafford Herbert; daughter, Karen Johnson; brother, Kenneth Herbert, Stone Mountain; and a number of friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday, January 25, at 2 p.m., from the Grey Hill Cemetery with the Revs. Dan Turner and David Hall officiating.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
