BRASELTON – Joseph Worsham Sr., 84, formerly of Forest Park, died Monday, January 18, 2010.
He was employed for over 30 years for the Fulton County Board of Education and was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II. He was instrumental in the development of the Forest Park Police and Fire Departments. He loved Nascar and his hobby, CB Radio, loved ones stated. Mr. Worsham was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pittman Worsham.
Survivors include a daughter, Joray (Gary) Lockridge, Braselton; son, Joseph Worsham Jr., Forest Park; stepdaughter, Sherrill (Don) McDaniel, Jackson; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and other family, friends and CB buddies.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, at 11 a.m. from Ward’s Parkway Chapel with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial will be at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
