COMMERCE – Hoyte Elem, 64, died Monday, January 18, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Walton County he was the son of the late Roland and Edna England Elem. He was of the Baptist denomination and was a retired welder.
Survivors include daughters, Jessaca Elem, Michigan, Barbie Elem, Monroe, and Tonie Elem, Buford; a son, Hoyte Elem Jr., Athens; sister, Betty Brown, Commerce; and a brother, William Elem, Jefferson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 20, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Clack officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 19, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.

I am very sorry for your loss. I also noted that he was a Baptist. Something that helps me with tough times is one of my favorite scriptures in Revelation 21:3,4 where God promises that He'll "wipe out every tear from their eyes,and death will be no more." I hope that is comforting to you as it was comforting to me.
