Ellen H. Burtan, 99, of Statham, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008.
She was born in Barrow County, the daughter of the late Joseph (JS) and Lillia Casper Holliday. She was a sales person for World Book Encyclopedia. Mrs. Burtan was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Burtan.
Survivors include C.D. “Buck” Holliday, Statham.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Wade Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
