COMMERCE – Eugene Thomas Sailers, 75, died Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Wilton and Annie Lou Thurmond Sailers. He was a retired architect from The University of Georgia and a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Jo Potts Sailers, Commerce; sons, Erik Sailers, Commerce, and Ethan Sailers, Carrollton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, January 12. at Jackson Memorial Gardens with Brian Stowe officiating.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
