ATHENS – Sara Lee Epps, 79, died Friday, January 8, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
Born in Jackson County she was the daughter of the late Martin and Esther Howington Williams. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Epps was preceded in death by her husband, G.B. Epps Sr.; and a brother, D.D. Williams.
Survivors include sons, Lawrence Epps, Hull, G.B. Epps Jr., Nicholson, David Epps, Bogart, Joseph Epps and Edward Epps, both of Athens; daughters, Louise Minish, Nicholson, and Carol Glenn, Athens; brothers, Thomas “Bo” Williams, Center; sisters, Sue Jane Anthony, Lexington, and Dianne McKinney, Warner Robins; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; caregiver, Reba Wilson, Athens; and a special friend, Eunice Kittle, Center.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 11, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Buford Lockman and Jeff Wells officiating. Burial will be in Howington Cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
