COMER – Elizabeth Garrett, 63, died Monday, January 4, 2010.
Born in Greenwood, S.C. on April 12, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Winona Martin Williams. She was a bookkeeper having worked with Becky & B.W. Hutchins Mechanical. She worked part-time with Tim Graham Construction. She was an active member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Garrett, Comer; a son, Jason Garrett, Carlton; daughter, Jean Crane, Danielsville; stepsister, Jeanette Glenn, Carlton; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 7, at 11 a.m., at the Oak Grove Baptist church with the Revs. Robert Garrett and James Creason officiating. Burial will be in the Meadow Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, January 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Thursday morning. The family is at home.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of arrangements.
