Weldon Ross, 83, of Athens, died Thursday, July 3, 2008.

A native of Clarke County, he was the son of the late Fannie Prather and Charlie Ross. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Ross.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Farr Ross, Athens; daughters, Connie Seagraves, Statham, and Patsy Allen, Athens; sisters, Rachael Ragland, Comer, and Hazel Hardy, Albany; six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 5, in the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Butler officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Bernstein Funeral Home, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
