JEFFERSON – Lona Wall Sharpton, 92, died Saturday, January 2, 2010.
Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Theradore and Kate Stewart Wall. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hawthorne Baptist Church in Lilburn.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Wendell and Wynelle Sharpton, Jefferson, C.L. and Jo Sharpton, Rex; grandchildren, Troy Sharpton, Michelle Sharpton and Hollis Sharpton; great-grandchildren, Matt Venable, Courtney Sharpton and Michelle Sharpton.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 5, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Winford Page and Terry Page officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn City Cemetery in Barrow County. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 5, at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m.

In these last days we no doubt see that we are living in critical times hard to deal with. Amongst one of the hardships that we have to endure sadly is the death of our loved ones. However, John 5:25 has always proven to provide many comfort in times as these where it brings out that "the hour is coming...when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and..will live."
