A loss of a loved one is something that is hard to deal with and I am sorry for your loss. But I did note that you all are religious people and so I think that you might appreciate what God's servant Job asked at Job 14:14: "If an able-bodied man dies can he live again?" I think you'll find comforting what he said next in the following verse, "All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait, until my relief comes. You will call, and I myself shall answer you. For the work of your hands you will have a yearning." So we can look forward to a time when our loved ones will come back.
