BETHLEHEM - Eunice Berry, 88, died Thursday, December 24, 2009.
Born December 6, 1921, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Jake and Anna Ruth Jennings. A member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, she was a faithful member of the Mission, Mother Board and the Choir. She retired as line leader from Marrell Chicken Poultry in Gainesville after 25 years of service and later worked for Russell Nursing Home, Carwood Manufacturing Company and as a home caretaker. Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Johnny Berry; children, John Berry Jr., Willie Gus (Sonny) Berry and Barbara Jean Berry.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Emory and Barbara Jean Berry, LaFayette, and Larry and Barbara Ann Berry, Monroe; daughters and sons-in-law, Minister Jannel Harris and Betty Warbington, both of Bethlehem, and Dorothy and Jimmy Johnson, Winder; also reared in the home, nephew Robert Woods and grandchildren, Gloria Moore and Anthony Berry; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 29, from White Oak Springs Baptist Church, Winder, with the Revs. Alfred Hazel Sr. and Glynn Hendricks officiating. Burial was in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Eberhart & Son Mortuary, Winder, was in charge of arrangements.
