‘Steve’ Brown

George Stephen “Steve” Brown, 63, of Jefferson, formerly of Gainesville, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Toomsboro Healthcare.

He was born in Fulton County, the son of the late George William and Katherine Margene Stephens Brown. He had lived most of his life in Hall County and was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church. He worked in the parts department for Chapman Pontiac for 20 years and was an employee of Home Depot in North Fulton.

Survivors include a sister, Shirley Brown, Jefferson; uncle, Ralph Brown, California; aunt, Velma Black, Cleveland; and several cousins.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 7, in the chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home with the Revs. Steve Brannon and Paul Morris officiating. Burial was in Sugar Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ward’s Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.
