PENDERGRASS – Jackie “Jack” Arnold Floyd, 70, died Sunday, December 27, 2009.
Born in Lovejoy, he was the son of the late Arnold Eugene and Ruby Lee Brown Floyd. He was a retired supervisor with Ford Motor Company, a cattle farmer and a member of Talmo Baptist Church. He was a past Georgia State Archery Champion, a member of Johnnies Hill Masonic Lodge and the Army National Guard and a past member and master of the Yaraab Shriners.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Adams Floyd, Pendergrass; a daughter, Angela Floyd, Hapeville; stepdaughter, Kenya Adams Campbell, Commerce; grandchildren, Will and Josh Campbell; sisters, Mildred Renfroe, Milner, Claudene Ballard and Betty Little, both of Hampton and Dorothy Blessitt, Forsyth; and a brother, Gerald Floyd, Milner.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30, at 2 p.m., from the Talmo Baptist Church with the Revs. Mark Spence and Jeff Graham officiating. Burial will be in Mountain Creek Baptist Church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Gene Davies, Greg Renfroe, Gerald Floyd Jr., Michael Blessitt, Cecil Brand, W.T. Sosebee, Rob Campbell, Josh Campbell, Will Campbell and Mike Brunson. Members of the Masonic Lodge will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
