WINDER – Ethel Mae Green, 76, died Saturday, December 26, 2009.
Born in Fulton County she was the daughter of the late Garnet and Zeldia Baker Metcalf. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband, William Carter Green Sr.; and sons, William C. Green Jr., Grady L. Green and Larry Daniel Green. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved bingo and traveling, loved ones stated.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Brenda Green, Winder, David and Shirley Green, Auburn; daughters and son-in-law, Sue and Billy Scruggs and Regina Ann Gazaway, all of Auburn; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Metcalf, Monroe, Jim Metcalf, Cumming; and sisters, Ruby Pruitt, Commerce, and Emma Ledbedder, Winder.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, at 11 a.m., from Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Tommy Baker officiating. Burial will be in Warshaw Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 28, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
