ILA – Thomas J. Branning, 78, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at his residence.
Born in Duval County, Fla., he was the son of the late Lewis James and Emeline McIver Branning. He was a retired salesman and after retirement, he began working at Athens Country Club. He was a veteran having served in the United States Navy. Mr. Branning was preceded in death by his wife, Frances O’Neal Hardman Branning.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Terry Branning, Beth and J.P. Gardner, Lisa and Eric Bishop, all of Alpharetta; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Robyn Branning, Houston, Texas; and nine grandchildren, Ashley, Courtney, Mitchell, Mason, Riley and McIntyre Branning, Anna and Avery Bishop and Grace Gardner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 19, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Monty Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 19, from 12 to 2 p.m.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
