STATHAM - Jean DeLay, 82, died Thursday, December 10, 2009.
Born in Winder, Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest E. and Claribel Odum Holloway. She graduated from Winder High School in 1944 and was a member of the Winder First Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Jack “B.J.” DeLay, Statham; sons, Wayne DeLay, Statham, Jeff DeLay, Clarkesville and Ken DeLay, Millen; daughter, Nancy Barr, Snellville; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 13, at 2 p.m., from Smith Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Gordon Griffin officiating. Kent DeLay will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 12, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
