ATHENS – Wilburn Berry Minish, 68, died Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late William Berry “Dub” and Agatha Ingram Minish. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce and was retired from PPG Industries. Mr. Minish was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, A.E. “Rusty” Faulkner and Jimmy Milford.
Survivors include a life long friend, Ed Shropshire, Athens; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jestean Faulkner, Commerce, Wilma and Thurmond Alewine, Watkinsville, Beverly Milford George and Lawrence George, Commerce, Wanda and Robert Purcell, Lilburn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 12, at 2 p.m., from the First Baptist Church of Commerce with Carlton Allen officiating. Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, December 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
