COMMERCE – Mozelle Dabbs, 78, entered into her eternal rest promised to her by her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 10, 2009. She was surrounded by her three daughters, the loving care of the BJC Nursing Home Staff, the compassionate care of Advantage Hospice Care and special friend, Patsy Morrison.
Born in Commerce on January 22, 1931, she was married to William Hugh Dabbs on May 26, 1953. Mrs. Dabbs was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church. She held various jobs over the years, but the most important to her was being a homemaker.
Mrs. Dabbs was preceded in death by her parents, Reeves and Thelma Thomas; husband, William “Bill” Hugh Dabbs; son, William Alan Dabbs; and sister, Annie Merle Morales.
Survivors include daughters, Tina Bennett, Commerce, Susy Sarna, Comer, and Debbie Klar, Lawrenceville; brother, Odell Thomas, Commerce; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 11, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, December 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.
