Joe Ellis Ingram, 79, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Commerce, died Friday, June 20, 2008.
He was born on February 27, 1929, the son of the late Reggie Lee and Eula Ingram. He graduated from Ila High School, Berry College and the University of Georgia in 1950, with a A.B.S. Degree in agriculture. Mr. Ingram served in the United States Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of sergeant first class. He was a member of Rogers Baptist Church and a charter member of El Cami Baptist Church in Tucson.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Julia Ann; a son, Charles; daughter, Juanita Toresdahl; grandchildren, Kari and Ben; son-in-law, Jim Toresdahl; brothers and sisters-in-law, Reggie Lee Ingram Jr. and Annie Ingram, Mocksville, N.C., Elson L. Ingram Sr. and Judy Ingram, Tucker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 12, at 10 a.m., at the Oakview Cemetery in Canon with the Rev. Carlton Peters of Rogers Baptist Church officiating.
Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, is in charge of local arrangements.
