DANIELSVILLE – Sarah Sorrow, 71, died Saturday, December 5, 2009.
A native of Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Willis B. and Jettie Mae Roberts Fortson. She was retired from Westinghouse and was of the Baptist denomination. Mrs. Sorrow was preceded in death by her husband, Dabney Gholston Sorrow; a son, Roger Lamar Sorrow; and daughter, Gloria Elizabeth Sorrow.
Survivors include children, Ronnie Sorrow, Danielsville, Kathy Farmer, Ila, Karen White, Lavonia, and Tammy Hannah, Hull; a brother, Frank Fortson, Hull; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 8, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday, December 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
