WINDER - James William “J” Wall, 93, died Sunday, December 6, 2009.
Born on May 19, 1916, in Gwinnett County, he was the son of the late William Moses and Hattie Jones Wall. He was a retired machine operator in the dairy business and was a member of the Hope Baptist Church in Winder. Mr. Wall was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Bratcher Wall; and a daughter, Shirley Malpass.
Survivors include sons, James R. Wall and Ray Thomas Wall; daughter-in-law, Tawanna Wall; brother, E.H. Wall; and sister, Modine McElhannon, all of Statham; companion, Florine Chatwood, Winder; 15 grandchildren; eight stepchildren; over 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 10, at 2 p.m., at Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, is in charge of arrangements.
