Mary Helen Duncan, 77, of Ila, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens.
She was born in Madison County, the daughter of the late O.T. and Sarah Zeffrey Collins Duckworth. She was a member of Harmony Christian Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Duncan was preceded in death by a son, William Arthur Duncan.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Duncan, Commerce; daughters, Connie Swain, Commerce, and Mary Jane Ledford, Ila; brother, J.T. Duckworth, Seneca, S.C.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 6, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Asa Thomas officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
