HULL – Alma Jean Brooks, 73, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009.
A native of Madison County, she was the daughter of Willie Clyde and Louise Lindsey Autry. She was employed with First American Bank for several years and was a member of Union Baptist Church. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Brooks; and a grandchild, Amanda K. Brooks.
Survivors in addition to her parents include sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Sandra Brooks, Hull, and Steve and Christine Brooks, Commerce; sister, Linda Williams, Winterville; brother, Melvin Autry, Athens; grandchildren, Preston Lee Brooks and Daniel Matthew Brooks; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 25, at 4 p.m., at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home Madison Chapel with the Revs. Billy Owensby and Ben Smith officiating. Burial will be at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, November 25, from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
