COMMERCE – Larry Boyd Murray, 55, died Sunday, November 22, 2009, following a five-year battle with cancer.
Born in France on August 20, 1954, he was the son of T/Sgt. Henry Boyd and Inez Murray. He worked several years with Spectral Response, where he worked on computers. He really enjoyed working with computers and as a hobby he enjoyed the Japanese movies and cartoons called Anime.
He is survived by his mother, Inez; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Judy Murray; sister, Debra Durham; niece, Kellyn Durham; and nephews, Casey Durham, Clay and Angie Durham, Jeff and Diane Murray, and Joe and Scarlett Murray.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 24, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Ivie Funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Murray officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, November 23, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or make donations to the Commerce Public Library Building Fund.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
