COMMERCE – Charlotte Ann Burks, 47, of Neese-Commerce Rd., died Monday, November 16, 2009, at BJC Medical Center.
Born in Mantee, Fla., she was the daughter of Katie Nell Kent Stokes of Tampa, Fla., and the late Robert Allen Stokes. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Burks was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Stokes Jr.
Survivors in addition to her mother include a son, Steven Stokes, Hull; half brothers, Brian and Daniel Stokes, Kentucky, and Eric Stokes, Florida; sisters, Lisa Garwood and Cindy Stokes, Fort Wayne, Ind.; half sister, Jacqueline Schrader, Kentucky; four grandchildren; and a special companion, Darrell Mintz.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 21, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. John Reynolds officiating.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, is in charge of arrangements.
