‘Dude’ Ausborn

TOCCOA – Franklin “Dude” Ausborn, 47, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at his residence.

Born on July 24, 1962, in Banks County, he was the son of Joy Segars Garmon and the late Frank Ausborn. He lived most of his life in Stephens County, attended the Missionary Church in Toccoa, and was of the Baptist denomination. Mr. Ausborn was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Segars, and Mr. James Robert Ausborn.

Survivors in addition to his mother, include stepfather, Ronnie Garmon, Maysville; sons, Scott Ausborn, Illinois, and Cole Ausborn, Pensacola, Fla.; two grandchildren; brother, Steve Ausborn, Pensacola, Fla.; and half brother, Jessie Ausborn, Mississippi; stepbrother, Tim Garmon, Toccoa; special friend, Patsy Lewallen, Toccoa; and several aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 18, at 11 a.m., at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Revs. Peter Traudt and Corine Yearwood officiating.
