David Kent

JEFFERSON – David Kent, 44, died Friday, November 6, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, following an extended illness.

He was born on October 18, 1965, in Hall County, to Stanley Kent and Peggy Howard Kent. He was of the Baptist denomination.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Kent, Jefferson; sons, Andrew Kent and A.J. Kent, both of Commerce, and Kyle Still, Jefferson; mother and stepfather, Peggy and Robert Thompson of Commerce; father and stepmother, Stanley and Susan Kent of Flowery Branch; brothers, Jason Kent, Jefferson, and Stephen Kent, Flowery Branch; stepsister, Elizabeth Kent, Flowery Branch; stepbrother, Matt Kent, Flowery Branch; aunts and uncles, Larry and Pat Conner, Flowery Branch, and Charles and Dianne Weaver, Gainesville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, November 8, in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. John Bennett officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
