‘Miss Mae’ Berryman

COLBERT – Mae Vandiver “Miss Mae” Berryman, 75, died Monday, November 2, 2009.

She was born May 8, 1934, in Franklin County, the daughter of the late William Amos and Genolia Bell South Vandiver. She was preceded in death by an older brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Ruth Vandiver; an infant brother, Hugh Daniel Vandiver; and a younger brother, James H. Vandiver.

Survivors include her loving, devoted, husband of 55 years, H. Winston Berryman; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Teri Berryman, Hull; sister, Marie Boyd, Powder Springs; sister-in-law, Mary Vandiver, Carrollton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 6, in the chapel of Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, with the Revs. Don Fuller and Rip Goss officiating. Pallbearers were Jim Patton, Chad Marcengill, Steve Berryman, Wayne Chitwood, Jeff Humphrey, Johnny Humphrey, Robert Bell, and Daryle Abel. Burial was in Colbert Cemetery.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
